Remembering the lost to Conflicts?

Many travelling peoples were caught up in the first and second world wars, but also in Ireland with the troubles and innocent people were shot dead by the security forces who did not care!

When people are pushed into helping without a choice, we tend to forget them, because they are insignificant to the glorious dead with words on a stone to a place that is hard to access or we find that we are not welcomed?

But through faith what God can give to us is more precious than the coldness of stone memorials, we have the warmth and the comfort of the Holy Spirit in our bodies, who gives us His peace!

Shelter from the Storm!

From the Middle-East to Hurricane Melissa?

God promises to keep all safe from the storm and to shelter us, wither that is in a shack or a storm shelter, bunker etc!

The Lord is merciful and loving, but He is also a God of discipline and order and we have to be very wise not to fall out of line for the protection and His blessings?

Yesterday we saw via the Internet and the Media the worst storm to hit the Caribbean and Jamaica ever with speeds of 185 mph, gusting to 220 mph and a pressure reading of 892 mb!

Witnessing to Travelers?

What worries many settled people is that of getting kidnapped and put into slavery by some of the communities, but this is not so for all and again it has become another stigma in society to isolate people not like themselves!

But those of the outside and of the community are continuing to have great success and many continue to come to faith, while not abandoning their traditions or culture?

Standing up to evil, reading the cards and spiritism will save us from getting lost, while from within we have the opportunity to witness to the outside to, as to the dangers of these matters, now that Halloween is upon us!

A plain near to Hebron,

Abram settled in this plain near to Hebron C-Israel and acknowledged God for getting him thus far by building an altar and sacrificing a burnt offering on it!

The origins of the name Mamre is an ancient one of Amorite source as mentioned in Strongs H4471, the meaning being lusty of vigor?

When we have been travelling for some time and find a place of rest then we should worship God by thanking Him for a our safety and a place of rest!

The cause of Fear!

For many a traveler to be asked to leave a place is nothing strange and here in the New Testament of the Holy Bible we have one instant in which Jesus is asked to leave! Matthew 8:34.

And in the other the Apostle Paul is also asked to leave, after they witnessed the power of God manifested! Acts 16:39.

Many believers who have parked up in their respective vehicles have been asked by scared people to move on, if they overstay their allotted time on the other hand people fear robbery, or being attacked?
Roots?

What are we anchored too!

Where is our roots today are they in the practice of evil or in doing good and this depends on which of us has rotten foothold or one that is constantly blessed?

We always have a choice to make in relation to who we are and were is our hearts, a choice to know if we are saved or lost!

Being rooted in the right place will bring us prosperity, but Satan can take these blessings from us because of greed for money and the bitterness of the soul based on many reasons?

Sleeping under the trees!

In the caring for livestock one needs to be out with them, sometimes in all weathers and you need to try to keep warm and dry as these men were doing in the field, when the were startled by the Glory of God or in Hebrew the ‘Shekinah, where Heaven and Earth met!

This Glory was only in times past reserved for a few, the prophets, the Patriarchs and the priests who served in the Temple in Jerusalem, but now it was to be seen by simple men, the base of society of whom King David once was as a shepherd boy!

The announcement of the promised Messiah was also a revelation that not only could Israel be saved, but as the Savior the gentiles too would know God as the Jews had?

Overcoming war and Evil?

Memorialism!

Halloween is about the time of the pagan and the dead coming back to visit the living, Guy Fawkes is the 17th Century Bin Laden being foiled and then the nation gathers to remember the dead of the two world-wars and other conflicts that was part of the British Empire and Commonwealth?

For some they are great traditions to be kept and cherished, but they all represent death and the further we move away from the events, they have become less solemn and more of an event!

But us who have faith must see the great opportunity to share Jesus, that His light overcomes the darkness and that Good will always prevail over evil, wicked people and wrong motivation will neither stay nor last and not all as it appears in the world to be good and right it, since the world is full of delusion?

When one is a traveler of many and any type the rich people of the area will want us to move on and at times force outside that of the law has been used!

But as believers we should expect to be rejected by all and not worry about but take some advice from our lord to shake the dust of our feet and not return there!

If we are struggling then we should know that man may have side-lined us, but not God for it is He who grants us the inner peace of Jesus?

Riches in having Faith!

The fear of God brings Wisdom?

For may who have been in prison the reading of Marks gospel and the book of Proverbs, appeals more to the travelling communities, who live lives trying to what is right in a hostile environment of being all ready judged!

But the writer here is saying more than human wisdom and it pointing out Spiritual riches to overcome sin and its lure as well as the material from being honest.

Faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior will be rewarded in our ever New Lives and the promises of our Salvation?
