Bearing good Fruit?
Wisdom is life says the writer of the proverbs and in the New Testament Matthew records Jesus saying, ‘That doing the right things bring blessings and salvation, something that is required of us!
We live in an ever turbulent society, were things are not getting better, but are going from bad to worse and in this last age this the way it is to go?
But as believers God has given to us promises in His word to hold on too!
Proverbs 3:18, 11:3, 13:1, 15:4, 27:11, Matthew 7:17-19.
Roman soldier comes to Faith.
It is amazing that we are told of only one person coming to faith at Jesus death on the cross and that of a gentile Roman soldier?
That soldier saw much that day from the darkening of Jerusalem to His death and fear entered in the right way into his heart to bring him to believe that this was truly the son of God!
Deuteronomy 21:23, Matthew 27;45, Mark 15:39, Luke 23:44, Acts 5:30, Galatians 3:13.
People of Faith.
Samson in his day was perhaps considered to be unwise in his conduct, yet he always knew he was in Gods plan for the enemies of Israel!
Judges 13:1-5, 16:1-2, Hebrews 11:32.
Meanwhile in the book of Esther God is never mentioned, but what we learn from this young Jewish woman was she put faith into action at the right time and thus saved her race from being wiped out by one jealous man!
Esther 2:1-18, 9:13-32.
We can even mention the mention the Apostle Paul being warned not to go to Jerusalem by the Prophet Agabus, but Paul knew his destiny!
Acts 21:10-14.
